What do we work with?
Lacquer Paint
Working with lacquer paint can be challenging due to its unique properties. Once the paint fully dries, it forms a protective shell that safeguards the surface against moisture, oil stains, and more. The resulting finish is consistently smooth, tidy, and elegant. However, using lacquer can be costly due to the extensive and meticulous preparation required prior to paint application, as it is a delicate material.
Hybrid Paint
Similar to oil-based paints, this water-based paint incorporates alkyd resins, making it suitable for various surfaces like wood, plywood, drywall, and metal. It boasts exceptional durability, as the paint can expand like latex paint. Additionally, it has a minimal odor and dries within just one hour.
Oil Based Paint
Oil-based paint is known for its exceptional durability and is suitable for use on a wide range of surfaces, both indoors and outdoors. However, it's important to note that certain oil-based primers, clears, sealers, or paint may require up to 24 hours to dry when applying just one coat. This extended drying time is due to the oil deeply penetrating the pores of the surface, resulting in a strong adhesive bond that can be difficult to remove.
Water Based Paint
Among various types of paint, water-based paint stands out as having numerous qualities. Although it may not provide the longest-lasting finish, typically lasting between 3 to 5 years, it boasts several desirable attributes. This type of paint is odorless, free from harsh chemicals, and can be easily cleaned up.
